SCHOOL SCREENINGS
Diagnosing hearing health issues with children prevents misdiagnosis of a learning disability or ADD and misallocation of valuable school resources.
HEAR Wisconsin brings the Mobile Audiology Clinic and its experts to your school to conduct the screenings. We recommend screening all 5K and first grade students. HEAR Wisconsin can screen
up to 100 students in a day,
so if other grades can be added, we recommend 3rd, 5th, and 8th grade
students or targeted screenings
based on teacher/parent
recommendations. Screenings
are done by one of the
HEAR Wisconsin’s Doctors of
Audiology.
To cover some of the maintenance
costs, there is a travel surcharge.
We are happy to cooperate with
schools to find partners like the
PTO or local Lion’s Club organizations to help cover the surcharge and provide this important service.
